The Ambience: The main building of the hotel has a lovely ambience, being built in the mid-1880s. It gave us a taste of history and added a charming touch to our stay.

Unacceptable Service: The owner's friend was living in the apartment we were taken to, instead of our private queen room. It was hot and smelly, and we felt unsafe with an unlocked door.

Convenient location, helpful staff, spacious and clean apartments with great amenities. Recent renovations add to the party atmosphere. Great value for money, would definitely return for a longer stay.

I chose Shooters Saloon Hotel & Cabins because it was conveniently located near the Auckland Zoo, a place I really wanted to visit. Surprisingly, the hotel offered complimentary wireless internet, which was a great bonus. I enjoyed the regular functions and parties that made the bar lively, adding to the overall experience at Shooters Saloon Hotel & Cabins.

Dirty cutlery, extremely hot room, noisy street, and lack of amenities made the stay unpleasant. The single shower that was shared by everyone was dirty, and the location was on a busy street near brothels.

I absolutely loved staying at Shooters! The location was perfect, right in the heart of Auckland City. The owner, Shane, was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. He even gave us a detailed explanation of everything, including fire exits and the location of the toilets and bathrooms. Being a bar, there was some noise, but Shane was upfront about it and we didn't mind at all. It was actually quite exciting to have a gig going on while we were there. The potential for Shooters to become a go-to party venue is clear, and I can't wait to see the alterations that Shane has planned. it was a fantastic experience and my husband and I will definitely be back for another stay.

Felt like visiting family, no reason to complain.

The inside rooms by the bar area at Shooters Saloon Hotel & Cabins are a steal! As a light sleeper, I found them to be surprisingly quiet despite the late-night crowd. Plus, some rooms even have a private bathroom with a spa bath - perfect for some relaxation after a long day exploring Auckland.

Personally, I was not a fan of the showers in the bathrooms. However, I understand that others may still enjoy them, so it's just my subjective opinion.

We recently stayed at a budget hotel in downtown Auckland for a couple of nights. The staff was friendly and offered helpful advice on food and public transport. The hot shower in our room was a pleasant surprise, and the hotel's bar was a lively spot with free wifi.
